-는데/ㄴ데

This connective ending is used with a verb stem. It indicates that the following clause is the opposite result or situation from the fact in the first clause. Also it is used to refer to two facts that contradict each other. With an action verb, use ‘-는데’. For a descriptive verb, use ‘-은데/-데’. If the descriptive verb ends in a vowel, use ‘ᄂ데’. ‘-은데’.
